Following the scheduler’s meeting on Saturday, August 26th, Shirley Lyons, CBHL Vice Commissioner, presented the first team managers training Session. Shirley has been a Team Manager for CBHL and Junior teams for over 15 years. She gave an excellent presentation that ended with a Q&A opportunity for all CBHL Club Team Managers. Genny Milutinovich, President of the Easton Ice Hawks, said, “This meeting was very beneficial for our club. It was well done. I personally wanted to come so that I can go back and train all of my team’s managers in order to help them and have a great season.” Shirley Lyons commented, “The team managers meeting was an effort to gain some consistency and help everyone understand the importance of the roles of the timer, scorekeeper, penalty box attendant and the team manager. These are roles that are taken for granted but are really a key to making the game go smoothly. I really appreciated everyone's interest and willingness to learn. Having Mr. Boyer from SHOA was a big help in answering questions and getting the accurate information out there. Hopefully this will become an annual event.” Representatives from every CBHL club were in attendance as well as Dave Boyer from Southeastern Hockey Officials Association (SHOA). Thank you Shirley for a well done presentation and to all CBHL Team Managers for their investment for a very successful 2012-2013 season.
